M.A. in Journalism & History, 1955...two years in U.S. Army (1955-57), serving last 13 months in psychological warfare at Fort Shafter, Hawaii...25 years as sports reporter for Buffalo Courier-Express and 10 years as sports reporter and sports copy editor for Buffalo News...spent nine seasons as "beat" man for NFL's Buffalo Bills and five seasons as "beat" man for NHL's Buffalo Sabres...covered Super Bowls III and V...was one of six writers nationally to predict New York Jets' upset of Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III...retired in 1993 and reside in Williamsville, N.Y....wife, Kathleen...sons Karl (London, England), Brett (Montreal) and Kirk (Colorado Springs), daughters Kristen Stocking (Holly Springs, N.C.) and Alison Brennan (Hendersonville, N.C.)...four grandchildren.
